That's so true Dorien. You have to experience something in order to gain an understanding of it and when it comes to health issues, I think that's even more so. AStill, we canonly do our best and keep trying to do thebest we can in everything we do, eh?
It does indeed, (A Study in Red), and having lived with the condition for eleven years now, I've kind of learned how to live my life around it, though there are certainpeople, including some very close to me who still have no concept of what clinical depressionis or can do to a person, and who believe that it is a 'weakness' of some kind. I'm afraid those of us who suffer from it have to live with the lack of understanding and intolerance of others who can't be bothered to even try and see it as a 'real' illness.
I wasn't aware that you'd suffered from cancer, that must have been a terrible time for you. I hope that you're fully recovered now. Again, it is a disease much misunderstood in mnay of its forms, and leads to much misunderstanding and ignorance in many people.
Glad you could join me here. Welcome! I know I've been quiet lately but as well as suffering from a bout of my depression i've also been working hard on the sequel to 'A Study in Red' so have been keeping myself very much to myself. Amjust about back to 'normal' now, whatever 'normal' means nowadays. Actually I consider myself to be a perfectly normal person who happens to suffer from depression.
