The major problem with the 4,297 groups I belong to...including this one, probably, is that my main reason for joining is to find new readers, and nearly every group is comprised mainly of other writers seeking the same thing.
Having just joined, please excuse me if this may already have beeen covered, but I really wonder how might The Crime Writers Network be different from so many other groups? What might we do not so much to encourage others in the group to read our work, but to exchange ideas/suggestions/etc. on how we can make ourselves better known to prospective "regular" readers?
